Wendy Zacchio

Wendy Zacchio joined Zelis in January 2023 as Chief Information Officer. Wendy has more than 25 years of experience in technology, most of it focused on strategic transformations. She leads Zelis’ Shared Technologies, Corporate Applications, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud Practice, Network, End User Services, Integrations, Platform Engineering, and IT Architecture. With Zelis’ continued growth, she partners across the organization to ensure IT enablement of new business capabilities and capacity.

Wendy joined Zelis from Cigna where she served as the CIO, International Markets. In this role, she defined and delivered strategic technology roadmaps across 30+ countries – expanding digital, data, and analytic capabilities that were focused heavily on client, provider, and member experiences. She also implemented technology solutions to enable enhanced clinical care, and reduced Cigna’s legacy technology footprint.

Prior to Cigna, Wendy was CIO at American Insurance Group (AIG), where she led a global team of technologists to provide end-to-end business solutions, including consumer-oriented digital experiences in multiple languages and currencies. Additionally, Wendy held IT leadership roles at The Hartford, Pegasus Solutions, Inc., and Fidelity Investments.

Wendy earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Engineering Management from Southern Methodist University. She is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
